Karen’s faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church and attended Biltmore Baptist in Arden.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Maw, and her mother, Carole Atkinson Maw.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Heath Hughes, who stood by her side throughout her illness.
