He bravely served two tours in Viet Nam, where he earned numerous honors, including the Combat Action Ribbon. Bob’s commitment to his country was admirable and his service will not be forgotten.

Following his military service, Bob pursued a career in nursing and became a registered nurse. After many years of service in this field, he rediscovered his talent for painting. Bob excelled as a Master Painter, working for UBU Productions, several Hollywood stars, and the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel until his retirement.

A service to honor and celebrate Bob’s life will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the Western North Carolina State Veteran’s Cemetery in Black Mountain, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made in the form of GreenChef.com gift cards for meal delivery service to his wife, Gail Johnson, as a way to support her during this extremely difficult time.

Bob will forever be remembered for his unwavering love and dedication to his family, his honorable military service, and his humorous, fun-loving nature. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him and will continue for generations to come.
