Patricia “Pat” Britt

Patricia G. Britt of Knoxville, TN. and formerly of Hendersonville,
NC, died late Friday afternoon, March 17, 2023, at the Adult Care
Facility, NHC Farragut in Knoxville, TN following an extended
illness.

Mrs. Britt was born on Wednesday, December 21, 1938, in
Gastonia, NC to the late George Alexander and Jean (Ratchford)
Gray, Jr. As the former Susan Patricia Gray in 1965 in
Hendersonville, NC, she married her loving husband of 35 years,
Mr. Jack C. Britt who died April 4, 2000.

She graduated from Hendersonville High School and received her
BA degree from Western Carolina University. She later was
employed with GE and was a member of the GE Quarter Century
Club, American Legion Axillary and Friends of the Library.

Mrs. Britt leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted
children, her daughter, Rachael Britt-McGraw and her husband,
Greg of Knoxville, TN and a son, Douglas A. Britt and his wife,
Melinda of Hendersonville, NC. Other survivors include her
grandchildren, Beth Clark of Pensacola, FL, Leah Howard of
Asheville, NC, Alexis McGraw of St. Louis, MO and Abigale
McVittie of Knoxville, TN; great-grandchildren, Wesley Clark,
Hawkins Howard and Carter Lee McVittie; sisters, Melissa
Espinta of Sparta, NC, Mary Gray Clouse of Gastonia, NC, April
Gray Rohrer of Satellite Beach, FL and Sally Gray Lovejoy of
Charleston, SC; brothers, George A. Gray and his wife, Sandra of
Gastonia, NC, William M. Gray and his wife, June and Glenn
Larson Gray and his wife, Wendy both of Harwood, MD.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Britt will be Two
o’clock Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2023, in the Church Street
Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to
the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be offered the Alzheimer’s
Association, Attn: Donor Services, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor
#17, Chicago, IL. 60601 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Pat as she was affectionally known will be forever missed by her
loving and devoted children, family, and many dear friends.
