William Peter Malauskas, 77, of Fletcher, North Carolina, died early Friday morning, March 3, 2023, following a brief stay at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC.

Mr. Malaskas was born in Cook County, Illinois on Sunday, February 3, 1946, to the late William John and Anastasia (Soludczyk) Malauskas.

As a retired pipe fitter, Mr. Malauskas was a proud member of Local 218 of the Sprinkler Fitters Union. In his free time, he enjoyed wood working, renovating, and building.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Norma (Benedict) Malauskas. In addition, he is survived by their daughter, Christine Malauskas Renken (Cole), grandsons Ethan and Christian and a granddaughter, Gabrielle.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Mr. Malauskas will be ten o’clock Friday morning, March 10, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Reverend Matthew Bean as celebrant and assisted by Deacon Mark Nash, followed by military honors. The family will receive guests following the service at a reception being held at Church Street Funeral & Cremation, 125 South Church Street, Hendersonville, NC.

Memorial contributions may be offered on behalf of Mr. Malauskas to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital at St Jude Children’s Hospital or the Make A Wish Foundation.

William will be forever missed by his loving and devoted family and many close friends.
May God Grant Him Eternal Rest.
