Wilma Jones Moore

Wilma Jones Moore, 97, of Flat Rock, NC, died early Monday morning, March 20,
2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Moore was born on Tuesday, June 2, 1925 in Spartanburg, SC to the late
John Virgil and Hattie (Laughter) Jones.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48
years, Mark Moore; seven sisters, two brothers; a granddaughter, Sabrina;
two great-grandchildren, Isabelle and Brandon and daughter-in-law Shelia Moore.

Mrs. Moore worked as a manager for the Henderson County School System Food
Service for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Mountain
View Baptist Church in Tuxedo, NC.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory three sons, Ronnie Moore, Cleave
Moore and his wife, Linda, Norman Moore and his wife, Jane; a daughter, Cathy
Ware and her husband, Mark; fourteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren;
nine great-great-grandchildren with one on the way along with numerous nieces
and nephews; friends; and her church family.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Moore will be Two o’clock Saturday
afternoon, March 25, 2023 at Mountain View Baptist Church with the Reverend
Sam Beddingfield and Reverend Josh Boyd officiating. The family will receive
friends two hours prior to the service in the church sanctuary. The family will also
receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Mrs. Moore’s residence that evening on
Saturday, March 25, 2023. At the family’s request there will be a private
committal service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731 or to Mountain View Baptist

Nanny, as she was affectionally known, will be forever missed by her loving and
